Texas Graduate Liberal Studies Symposium
The Graduate Liberal Studies Programs of 精东传媒 and Rice University invite you to participate in the annual Texas Graduate Liberal Studies Symposium on Saturday, July 26, 2025 in Dallas, TX.
The symposium provides an opportunity for students and alumni from Texas graduate liberal studies programs to share their experiences and studies and continue to explore timeless and timely human questions within the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Students and alumni are encouraged to submit research papers and creative works to be considered for presentations during the symposium.
We welcome proposals for 20-minute presentations on any topic, including interdisciplinary and creative projects. Presentations will be grouped into concurrent sessions, each followed by a Q&A discussion. This symposium offers a valuable opportunity to share your research, engage with a community of scholars, and gain presentation experience in a supportive setting.
Proposal Submission Guidelines:
- Submit a 250-word abstract outlining our presentation topic by Sunday, June 15, 2025
- Include a short biography (75 words max).
- Notifications of acceptance will be sent by June 30, 2025.
- Accepted presenters must register for the symposium and pay the registration fee
This one-day symposium will open with breakfast on Saturday morning followed by student and alumni presentations. A keynote speaker will deliver a lecture during lunch. Whether you are presenting a paper or attending to listen to presentations, we hope you will join us to share ideas, network, and socialize with other graduate liberal studies colleagues.
