精东传媒’s executive vice president and provost (EVPP) is responsible for the overall quality of teaching, scholarship and research at the University. The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost champions the University's commitment to academic, research, scholarly and creative excellence by engaging in transparent communication, working closely with faculty and staff to provide a clear academic vision, providing leadership on academic strategic planning and implementation, and promoting innovation both in research and pedagogy.

The EVPP's leadership advances 精东传媒’s mission and core values through a commitment to academic freedom and open inquiry, encouraging a community of vibrant intellectual thought and shaping students who will enter our global society as world changers.

Executive Vice President and Provost

Rachel Davis Mersey serves as 精东传媒’s executive vice president and provost after joining 精东传媒 in June 2025. Dr. Mersey is responsible for the overall quality of teaching, scholarship and research and all aspects of academic life, ranging from admissions and faculty development to supervision of 精东传媒’s library system, international programs, and eight degree granting schools.
