Summer Start

The Summer Start Program offers incoming first-year students the opportunity to complete the required preparatory course indicated by their placement exams online during our July Session (Summer 2): July 7–August 8. By enrolling in these online courses, students can stay on the recommended academic track for the fall semester.

Courses offered:

CHEM 1302 – Preparatory Chemistry (Online)

Designed for students who want to strengthen their chemistry foundation before enrolling in CHEM 1303 - General Chemistry.

MATH 1303 – Precalculus for Business (Online)

Covers inequalities, graphs, functions, polynomials, logarithms, exponentials, linear equations, and mathematics of finance. Intended for students planning to take MATH 1309 - Introduction to Calculus for Business and Social Science.

If you are interested in taking part in the Summer Start Program, discuss the prospect with your academic advisor when you meet with them in June. Due to processing time, we recommend requesting an advising appointment in early June.
