Why Economics...

As a first-generation graduate, Economics chose me as much as I chose it during my first economics class at Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School in Ghana. I became curious about understanding how the economy operates, that is how individuals, businesses and governments make choices with scarcity of resources and our numerous wants staring at us. This curiosity has made me pursue economics as a mission to understand how developed economies climbed their way to prosperity using financial data and economic approaches, and how implementing these approaches can help my country Ghana and other African countries as we go through our own development path towards prosperity. My interest lies in having deeper insights in financial econometrics and applied macroeconomics. Overall, through economics, I see an opportunity not just to study the world, but to help change it for the better.

Interesting fact about me...

I have an incredibly persevering spirit that emerged during my university days. When I encounter a problem, it can take me days of thinking and always occupies my mind wherever I am until I reach a solution. I simply cannot let go of a challenge until I have solved it completely.
